Karen Marlow

I was employed with Cruise Holidays in 1994 and at the same time was an executive manager with Tupperware home parties.
In the summer of 1996 I started employment with World Wide Travel as the receptionist/secretary and progressed into travel sales.
After September 11, 2001 I worked from home for World Wide Travel as an independent travel agent.  In January, 2003 I opened my home based agency, Fun in the Sun Travel.

Fun in the Sun Travel is a full service agency selling cruises, escorted tours, group tours, spa, ski and vacation packages.  My niche market is planning destination weddings and honeymoons for clients.

My favorite destinations are Jamaica, Bermuda and Alaska.  I love sandy beaches, the ocean and sun.   Places I would like to visit are Tahiti, Australia and revisit Ireland.  I have sailed on 20+ cruises, including many of the newer ships, such as Royal Caribbean's Liberty and Freedom of the Seas, Celebrity’s Solstice, and the Carnival Splendor.

I have vacationed at 10+ resort destinations including Sandals, Beaches and Club Med at various locations including Jamaica, St. Lucia, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, and Ixtapa.

My husband, Howard, is employed with Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc. at the corporate office.  We have 3 daughters, Tammy (husband, Brandon), Michelle (husband, Stan) and Renee, all living in Topeka with our five grandchildren; Jordan, Aspen, Dante, Cheyenne and Haven.

Marilyn Sommers

Marilyn Sommers has been working in the travel industry since 1979. She attended McConnell Travel School in 1979 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Upon graduation, she worked as a full time travel agent for years, mainly in the Commercial Account Division. In 1986 she moved to an outside sales position and in 2003 she joined Fun in the Sun Travel as an Independent Home Based agent.

She and her husband enjoy cruising and has had the opportunity  to experience cruising from River barging to the mega ships. She is experienced in a variety of areas in the travel industry and has arranged/escorted numerous bus tours, along with handling everything from individual to large groups.

She is a certified destination specialist in many areas. Travel has always been in her blood. Her and her husband have done extensive travel via motor home and look forward to new adventure/destinations.
